Platinum Personnel, a privately owned company, was established in 1999 as a full-service personnel agency. Our team brings a combined 35 years’ experience within Personnel and Human Resources and we are skilled at providing quality candidates to businesses in all occupations and industries.
At Platinum Personnel we are more than just work colleagues; we are a team. We work together, we play together, we even volunteer together! David Miller - General Manager
David became the owner of Platinum Personnel in September 2016. He has varied background bringing 40+ years of work, industry, education and life experience to the table. David started in the oil and gas industry in the 70’s working his way up to a consultant, contracting for companies such as ESSO, Conoco-Philips, and Encana. He has a degree in Education from the University of Alberta, with a major in Physics/Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics. His experience with instructing/teaching took him into secondary and adult education settings. David is an excellent manager, team leader, and communicator with strong interpersonal skills. He delivered safety presentations at venues such as Enform’s Petroleum Safety Conference in Banff. David has been co-ordinating, supervising and training workers in many, industry and non-industry environments. Linkedin
Tracy Gooch – Operations and Finance Manager
Tracy joined the Platinum Personnel team as Accounting Manager in November 2016. Born and raised in Kelowna and currently residing in West Kelowna, she has experience in retail, real estate appraisal and income tax preparation. She has over 30 years of bookkeeping experience, having worked with a variety of businesses and industries. Tracy is readily available to answer accounting and payroll questions for both our recruitment coordinators and staff.
Caitlin Just – Administration and Reception
Caitlin joined the Platinum Personnel team in June 2019 after moving all the way from Brisbane, Australia. Since graduating in 2013 from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelors Degree in Health Science, Caitlin has forged her Administrative career. With over 10 years of working as Administrative support, Caitlin has extensive experience in both the public and private sector and has worked in various industries including Legal, Health, Government and now Recruiting.As the newest member of the team and to the Okanagan she hopes to help make a difference in our community.
Heather Simmonds – Sr. Recruitment Specialist
Heather joined the Platinum team as a Recruitment Coordinator in 2006, having just returned to her hometown of Kelowna after living in England & Australia for 13 years. While living overseas she obtained extensive experience working in international corporate environments in a variety of industries. Heather holds an Office Administration Certificate, a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage, and has taken courses towards obtaining her Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) Designation. With respect to recruiting, Heather is crazy about positive experiences and she is dedicated to finding the right person for each position, whether it be permanent, contract or temporary, across a wide range of skill categories while demonstrating integrity, enthusiasm, outstanding service and professionalism. Jez Cook - Sr. Recruitment Specialist
Jez has recently joined Platinum Personnel after moving to West Kelowna from England. After graduating from the university of Portsmouth with a BA Hons in Computer Animation, he spent the next 10 years working in the Licensing Industry as a Senior Manager of a Large Entertainment Venue. Looking to harness his strong interpersonal skills, he made the transition to the Recruitment Industry 5 and half years ago, obtaining his Certificate in Recruitment Practice (CRP) and earning promotion to Senior Technical Recruiter(specialising in Technical and Engineering recruitment.) Jez has worked on many niche positions for the Aerospace, Biopharmaceutical and Automotive Industries on Permanent, Contract and Temporary positions. Forging strong relationships with both clients and candidates, Jez always goes the extra mile to get the right candidate. In his spare time, Jez enjoys exploring the trails and ‘Great Outdoors’ with his wife, two sons and dog.
Kate Dalton – Recruitment Consultant
Kate has a diverse background that includes communications, marketing, client relations, tourism, event planning, & human resources. Her career journey began on a high note when she secured a coveted position as a WestJet Flight Attendant. From there, she went on to coordinate team building and charitable events for Calgary-based corporations. After earning a Bachelor of Communication & Culture at the University of Calgary, Kate relocated to Kelowna and entered the world of marketing, specializing in campaigns for Okanagan real estate developers. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for the hiring, training, and management of volunteers, staff, and interns at numerous organizations and has consistently developed and maintained positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Kate’s belief in the importance of creating a healthy corporate culture and in treating employees as an employer’s greatest asset has led her to join the team at Platinum Personnel.
Jaime Baumgartner – Recruitment Assistant
Jaime joined the Platinum Personnel team in May 2017. She takes pride in helping support our candidates, and Clients, as well as our staff with the best Customer service here at the front desk. She started working at her family-owned business working as a receptionist and left with strong values to maintain quality performance in every task she takes on. She has 11 years of experience in Reception, Administration and Customer service. As the newest member of the team and to the Okanagan she hopes to help make a difference in our community.
Justin Rawn - Business Development and Marketing Manager
Justin brings experience and enthusiasm for growing a thriving, client-centered business. He is passionate about building relationships and helping clients maximize their potential.
Justin began his professional career as a Physiotherapist, obtaining his Master’s in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He practiced as a Physiotherapist for 5 years, and prior to joining Platinum Personnel he was working as the Director of a multidisciplinary clinic in Kelowna.
Justin absolutely loves living in the Okanagan, as it allows him to fully dive in to his favourite hobbies, including: rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking.
