The company –
The company has been established to receive, administer, distribute, and report on gaming revenues flowing from the Province to eligible First Nations in British Columbia.
The role –
As the Executive Coordinator you would be working directly for the General Manager and could be responsible for the administration and organizational management of the office entailing a wide range of office and project administration and executive support and coordination tasks.
This role is a key position in the office and as such has certain deliverables attached to it and needs a deep knowledge and experience of organizational procedures and best practices.
You could be providing support, coordination and assistance to the General Manager, Board of Directors, Office Staff and technical advisors when required.
Skills and experience –
You could be in charge of developing agendas, schedules and recording minutes for Board and Committee meetings. Follow up on RSVP’s as required to achieve quorum for meetings as well as coordinating, printing, and distributing digital file documents in advance of the Board and Committee meetings.
Other duties can include, assisting and coordination in preparing, researching, and investigating (with legal team) regarding legal/litigation matters. Typing letters, memorandums, statistical information and other material from rough draft, typed or handwritten copy or notes, as directed and updating coordination and maintaining office policies as necessary. Administration of life and health benefits and pension plan (if applicable).
Additional high-level administrative functions including the coordination of the Board of Directors requests and queries appropriately. Coordination and administration of assigned projects and general office administration. Maintaining confidentiality and protecting operations by applying appropriate protocols and procedures. Preparing reports, collecting and reviewing information and assisting with the Website development and management. Coordinate with IT department on office equipment.
For this position you will be able to put your Business Administration diploma or applicable degree to good use and it is desirable to have it supplemented by specialized secretarial and/or paralegal training and experience.
The package –
This position is a full-time permanent role, with the core working hours of 40 per week but there maybe the odd occasion to work outside of the standard office hours. With an annual salary of just over $50,000 per year, this is an exciting opportunity to join this outstanding organisation.
