Accounts Receivable Assistant

Overview

Reporting to the Divisional Controller, the primary job duties are:

Cash Control

  • Reconcile cash and tenders to cash sheets and prepare deposits accordingly
  • Daily deposits to the bank (for high volume months/less frequent deposits during slow/shoulder season)
  • OVR Tip payouts
  • Administer petty cash function
  • Administer gift cards – including reporting

Accounts Receivable

  • Receive cheques and direct payments and apply payments for Offsite wine sales
  • Apply payment and process Offsite credit card, debit card, Chase and H&L payments, including PAD through RBC Express processes
  • Global systems and management of merchant accounts

Financial Reporting

  • Keep Sales Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) spreadsheet up to date
  • Daily and weekly sales reporting
  • Daily sales reconciliation from H&L and JE posting to ACCPAC
  • Monthly reporting & accounting analysis as required

Skills/Competencies/Knowledge:

  • A business diploma or equivalent accounting experience, with an emphasis on cash controls and AR
  • Experience working with Point of Sales
  • Understanding & experience with Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel and Sage 300 ERP
  • Excellent communication, time management, organization, detail and accuracy skills

This is a temporary position with the possibility of permanent hire.
