Overview

Trust Accounting experience beneficial but strong AP and AR experience most important. Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team is essential.

Our client, located in West Kelowna, is seeking a temporary Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to fill a term position for approximately 12-14 months.

Responsibilities will include:

Accounts Payable:

-Ensure approval process for invoices is followed
-Input invoices into accounting software (Sage 300 – ACCPAC)
-Pay invoices as they become due, input payments
-Print cheques, ensure they are signed and mailed
-Print and review aging reports to ensure outstanding bills are being paid in a timely manner

General Ledger:

-Bank reconciliations
-Account set-up & maintenance
-Complete reporting as required
-Maintain office petty cash

Accounts Receivable:

-Working knowledge of accounts receivable
-Able to fill in for accounts receivable when required

Education

Degree or diploma with a focus in accounting preferred

Qualifications and Experience

-Good working knowledge of Sage 300 ERP
-Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced knowledge of Excel and good working knowledge of Word and Outlook
-Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
-Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision making skills, as well as detail oriented
-Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism & confidentiality
-An equivalent combination of education, training and experience in the above qualifications will be considered.
-General Accounting experience (Trust Acctg beneficial)
